What is the difference between an “Earned” Level and an “Assigned” Level?

An earned level is a level that a fan attains by earning enough points to qualify for that level, within a calendar year.  As an example, if I have 3,400 points, and earn 100 more points through any qualifying activity or purchase, I am immediately placed into “Silver” Level status, based on the points that I have earned.  Once you’ve attained that level, you will maintain that level for one year.  However, if you continue to earn points, and earn enough to qualify for the Gold Level, your Gold Level status will be good for one year from the date that you had earned the Gold Level Status, and so on.  If you do not maintain enough point earning activity or purchases during that calendar year, you may drop to a lower status level, or potentially no level at all.

An “assigned” level is a level that has been assigned to a fan, based on their previous participation with the PBR and the various PBR programming (i.e. PBR Fan Club, PBR Passport, etc.).  The initial assignments have been made on a “one-time” basis in the 2nd Quarter of 2016.  No additional levels will be assigned after the initial assignments have been made.  The PBR has chosen to assign Platinum, Gold, and Silver status at the launch of the program to help fans gain more value and benefit from the PBRewards program.
